What is LED?
According to Wikipedia, ‘A light-emitting diode (LED) is a two-lead semiconductor light source. It is a p–n junction diode, which emits light when activated. When a suitable voltage is applied to the leads, electrons are able to recombine with electron holes within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons’
As a Semiconductor;
An LED light has a semiconductor chip as its main core in which gases and chemicals are present. When current enters the chip, it creates photons emitting light. The colour of LED is determined by the chemical added in the chip.
